Kennywood canceled

Due to lack of interest, we're going to cancel the Kennywood trip that was scheduled for this Friday, the 13th. It's canceled as an FPC young adult function, but you can still go on your own if you'd like for the same rate! I'm giving you the contact info for Becky Phillips at Geneva College - she's the one who's organizing the whole trip. If you'd still like to go with the Geneva crew on Friday you'll just need to let her know by the end of the day tomorrow to get the $23 all-day pass with the extra goodies!

Kennywood

If you’re still wanting to come down with the FPC crew to Kennywood on Friday, August 13th, the new and final deadline to let me know is Sunday, August 8th.

We’ll be teaming up with the Geneva College/WORD-FM folks, and here’s what it’ll look like:

The cost is $23 a ticket, and that gets you:
• An all-day fun pass
• A Geneva/WORD-FM t-shirt
• A pair of sunglasses
• A Kennywood Park scavenger hunt with prizes

You can bring your $23 on the 13th and pick up your ticket at the Kennywood Will-Call booth. If you tell me by August 8th that you’re coming, a ticket will be waiting for you! Everyone’s responsible for their own food & drink during the day.

We’ll plan to meet at the FPC parking lot at 9:15am and leave by 9:30. I’m going to be needing to head back pretty early, so we won’t take a van down – but when we meet at the parking lot we can carpool if that’s something you’d like to do.

As for when you need to come back – that’s up to you! The tickets are good until 10pm. If you do carpool down there, make sure your passengers have a ride back too!

THE WELL

What: A four-week gathering of college students from all around the Pittsburgh area. A time of worship, teaching, and small group discussion on the Scriptures. The Well is being sponsored by CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach).

When: Tuesday’s @ 7pm (June 29th, July 6th, 13th, & 20th)

Where: Orchard Hill Church in Wexford, PA (directions at www.orchardhillchurch.com), room 15, lower level.

ULTIMATE FRISBEE

When: every Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:00pm, beginning June 23rd

Where: Shaw Park in Beaver

Who: all post-high schoolers and 20-somethings

THE SOMA GATHERING

FPC’s new worship gathering - casual and all about Jesus. Every Saturday @ 5pm at the Beaver County YMCA.

When: Sunday, June 27th, starting at 5:15pm

What: Free dinner, movie (Avatar), and conversation about the movie afterwards

Who: all post-high schoolers & 20-somethings

KENNYWOOD

When: Friday, August 13th

Who: all post-high schoolers & 20-somethings

Cost: $23/person ($20/person if we can get 10 signed up to go).
